Object description
The Church of St. Andrew the First-Called on Varshavska Street in Lviv, which until 1931 belonged to the separate village of Klepariv. The church was designed by architect Serhii Tymoshenko (1881-1950), and Yevhen Nahirnyi finalised his plan and carried out the construction, which was completed in 1931. It is a centrally planned building with a large dome over the central crossing (octagon on cube), decorated in the Art Deco style (Lev Kh., Slobodian V., Filevych N. 100 Churches of the Nahirnyi family. Part Two: Churches of Yevhen Nahirnyi. Lviv, 2015. P. 126).
