Object description
The picture shows the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Prysivtsi, now in the Ternopil district of the Ternopil region. It is a single-nave brick building with a rounded altar, a small transept, and two sacristies. The interior has flat wooden floors and a choir loft-triforium accessed by a spiral staircase. The church has a gabled tin roof and a wooden dome over the central part. The style uses restrained classicist elements (entrance portal, simplified attics with acroterion flowerpots) and forms of traditional wooden church construction (dome). The project was designed in 1929 and completed in 1939. Today (2024), the church is preserved, and its dome is made of stone. The drawing shows the entrance facade of the church facing southwest.
