Object description
The photograph shows a woman on a scaffolding under the vault of a church, with a Neo-Byzantine-style painting behind her. In Y. Muzyka's album, it is signed "Simone Corbiau". Simone Corbiau was a Belgian artist, French-speaking art expert and literary critic. In 1927–1928, she visited the USSR and worked in Ukraine for several months. She wrote articles about Ukrainian art of the 20s and 30s, the works of M. Boichuk, H. Narbut, and Taras Shevchenko.
