On the back of the photograph is an inscription in russian, written in blue ballpoint pen: "Ivanova A.M. Girl's head. 1935". However, another photograph from Antonina Ivanova's archive reads differently: "Ivanova A.M. Lezviiev M. Detail of the sculpture 'Collective Farmers' 1936 Nalchyk". This raises additional questions because, as the results of a special study have shown, in both cases, with completely different signatures (from authorship to dating), the handwriting belongs to the same person. Accordingly, we can assume that, as in several other cases, Antonina Ivanova was the author of the sketches, and Mykhailo Lezviiev was the actual executor. The question of dating, however, remains open. As no photographs of the finished work or the entire composition have been found, it is difficult to say whether it was completed or only this element was executed. We therefore consider it appropriate to give both 1935 and 1936 as the probable date of execution.
