Object description
The drawing shows the Church of the Ascension. The original brick building was built in 1842 in Yaniv (now Ivano-Frankove). After the devastation of the First World War in 1925, Yevhen Nahirnyi proposed a project for its reconstruction, as shown in this facade drawing. The project proposed to preserve the original classicist style of the building. The reconstruction was carried out in the following years until 1931 (Lev Kh., Slobodian V., Filevych N. 100 Churches of the Nahirnyi family. Part Two: Churches of Yevhen Nahirnyi. Lviv, 2015. P. 126).
