Object description
The print or clipping from the French-language magazine shows Tymko Boichuk's composition "Feeding Pigs", 1917 (as written in russian in blue ink on the reverse). However, at the bottom of the photo's back, there is a glued strip, probably from the same issue as the clipping with the photograph, which reads "Fig. 48. – T. Boїtchok. – Dans la cour", meaning "In the backyard". A composition corresponding to this reproduction is found in a later painting by Kyrylo Hvozdyka, "Shepherds", 1927 (National Art Museum of Ukraine).
