The photograph shows the exhibition of fabrics made by the team of Nina Zemkina's workshop (according to the russian-language inscription under the photo, written in a simple pencil, the date and location are the author's assumption). The interior corresponds to the layout and decoration programme of the Moscow Column Hall of the House of Unions (exhibitions are still held in this room). The photograph shows a stand with a group of textiles, including painted shawls (known to have once been made by Antonina Ivanova; there are many surviving sketches and drawings). In general, various interpretations of folk art prevail stylistically, not only in the textile field. There is probably a mannequin at the back of the room. On the right, we can see elements of stucco (Atlantes and floral ornaments), which allows us to confirm where this exhibition took place.
