Object description
A longitudinal section of the church project for the village of Kholoiiv, now the village of Vuzlove, is shown. Vasyl Slobodian attributes the design to Vasyl Nahirnyi and points out that the church built in 1909 was later destroyed. In this case, the drawing is a copy by Yevhen Nahirnyi. The church is of brick, cruciform in plan, with two sacristies and is crowned by three onion-shaped cupolas. It is very similar to a later project for a church in the village of Pyniany, which was never built. It probably also included half domes above the transept frames, which are not visible in the section. The projects differ in that the Kholoiiv church had a designed porch – arcades around the babynets (Lev Kh., Slobodian V., Filevych N. 100 Churches of the Nahirnyi family. Part One: Churches of Vasyl Nahirnyi. Lviv, 2013. P. 128).
