Object description
This ground plan shows the stone church of St. Michael the Archangel in Komarno, built between 1908 and 1910 and designed by Vasyl Nahirnyi. The monumental three-nave building with a transept and a semicircular apse has a dome over the crossing and two towers along the main facade, all covered with hemispherical domes. It is designed in the French neoclassical style with a Doric order. This drawing is probably a copy that Yevhen made of his father's design (Lev Kh., Slobodian V., Filevych N. 100 Churches of the Nahirnyi family. Part One: Churches of Vasyl Nahirnyi. Lviv, 2015. P. 115).
