Object description
On the back of the photograph is a russian-language inscription in a blue ballpoint pen: "Ivanova A. M. Silhouettes of the bourgeois. 1912. Kyiv". The photograph depicts a graphic sheet with figures of wealthy bourgeois citizens dressed for the winter season (long and thick outerwear, cut with high collars; all the characters wear hats – three women wear hats of fashionable styles at the time, and a man wears a tall hat). Later, the artist used a similar approach to solving silhouettes in the decorative panel "We Are for Peace" (1967).
