The fragment of a rock fortress of the 11th–13th c. with the expedition members, particularly M. Rozhko, O. Matsiuk, M. Kozurak and others. The village of Bubnyshche, Ivano-Frankivsk region. 1990. An essential component of every field expedition is not only the photographic documentation of objects of material culture but also the research of its participants. Photographs by Volodymyr Olkhomiak provide an opportunity to understand the context of the scientific process, which had specific temporal characteristics. The preservation and protection of works of art are often depersonalised, and the photographer's work brings names back to the participants.
